Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of iso-certification.ph, operated by Sterling International Consulting, a SEC-registered Philippine entity (“Sterling”, “we”). By using this website you accept them; if you do not accept them, do not use the site. Consulting engagements are governed by their own written proposals and contracts, which prevail over these website terms.

1. Content, accuracy and no reliance

We publish standards information — statuses, transition deadlines, guides and our ISO Standards Updates Tracker — under a documented Editorial & Verification Policy: verified against official sources, dated, and reviewed on a stated cycle. It is general information, not professional advice for your specific situation, and no consultant-client relationship arises from reading it. Statuses can change after a review date — the date on each page tells you how current it is. Decisions affecting your certifications, compliance obligations or contracts should be taken on engaged, scoped advice.

2. Intellectual property and limited licence

All site content — text, graphics, page designs, and the Sterling OS™, BEF™ and Trust 360™ frameworks, names and associated marks — belongs to Sterling and its group companies or its licensors. You may view the site, share links, and quote brief excerpts with attribution and a link. You may not otherwise reproduce, republish, redistribute or create derivative works from substantial content without our written permission.

3. Free resources

Downloadable resources we provide without charge (white papers, checklists, templates, presentations) are licensed for your organisation’s internal use only. You may not resell them, redistribute them publicly, strip their attribution, or present them as your own or another consultancy’s work. They are provided as general starting points, not as advice on your specific system, and clause 6 applies to them.

4. Standards-alert subscriptions

Our updates alert service notifies subscribers when a standard’s status changes. It is provided free and on a best-effort basis: we aim for accuracy and timeliness under the Editorial & Verification Policy, but we do not warrant that every change will be notified or notified before it affects you — the obligation to maintain your certifications remains yours. Your subscription data is handled per the Privacy Policy; you can unsubscribe in any message.

5. Acceptable use

You must not: use the site unlawfully or to infringe others’ rights; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or connected systems; introduce malicious code; scrape, harvest or bulk-extract content or data, including by automated tools, bots or for training automated systems, without our written permission; misrepresent an affiliation with Sterling; or use our marks, or the site’s content, to advertise or pass off other services. We may suspend or block access for breach of these terms.

6. Disclaimers

The website and its free content and resources are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, regarding the website and free content — including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement — and we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Philippine law, including liability arising from fraud or wilful misconduct.

7. Third-party links and content

The site links to external resources — including ISO, accreditation bodies, verification registers and certification bodies. Those sites are not ours: we do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices. A link is a convenience, not an endorsement, and your use of any third-party site is governed by its own terms.

8. Testimonials and submissions

Client feedback and testimonials appear on this site only with the written consent of the person or organisation quoted, and reflect that client’s experience — outcomes vary by organisation and engagement. If you submit feedback, an enquiry or other material to us, you confirm it is accurate and yours to send, and you grant us permission to use it to respond to you; publication of any testimonial happens only with your separate, documented consent.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or special losses, loss of profits, business, goodwill or data arising from use of this website or reliance on its free content; and our total aggregate liability arising from the website and its free content shall not exceed ten thousand Philippine pesos (₱10,000). This clause applies to the website only — liability under consulting engagements is governed by the engagement contract.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Sterling, its group companies and personnel against claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the site.

11. General

Changes: we may update these terms; the effective date below moves when we do, and continued use after changes means acceptance. Severability: if any clause is held unenforceable, the remainder stands. No waiver: our not enforcing a clause is not a waiver of it. Assignment: you may not assign rights under these terms; we may assign within our group. Entire agreement: these terms, with the policies they reference, are the entire agreement regarding website use. Governing law and venue: the laws of the Republic of the Philippines govern, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Makati City.
