Sterling Drive™: we develop and implement — end to end managed & fully outsourced ISO & GRC implementation

Sterling Drive™: we develop and implement — end to end managed & fully outsourced ISO & GRC implementation

Sterling Drive™ is Sterling’s fully outsourced implementation service for organisations in the Philippines: we develop and implement your ISO or GRC management system end to end — the same complete build as Design™, with Sterling carrying the implementation effort your team doesn’t have hours for — ready for audit by an independent, accredited certification body.

Drive™ is the fully outsourced mode of Sterling OS™: Sterling develops and implements your management system end to end — the same complete build as Design™, with our consultants carrying the implementation effort your team doesn’t have hours for. It exists for the organisation whose failure mode is bandwidth: the certification is required, the deadline is real, and there is no internal team to run a project. Drive converts a staffing problem into a scheduling decision.

One thing Drive™ is not — put plainly, because our own selection guidance warns against providers who promise the opposite: Drive is not certification-without-involvement. Management commitment cannot be subcontracted, auditors interview your people, and a system nobody in your organisation operates is a system that fails its audit — or worse, passes and delivers nothing. We carry the effort; your team keeps ownership, decisions and audit answerability. Drive minimises your workload honestly: to the parts only you can do.

You’re here if: certification is contractually required on a deadline and no internal team exists to implement · your quality or compliance role is vacant or overloaded · you tried the guided route and implementation stalled for lack of hours.

Who typically chooses Drive™

Deadline-driven organisations — a client contract or tender clock already running; companies whose QA/compliance seat is vacant, or occupied by someone wearing three other hats; groups rolling a standard out across subsidiaries who want one team executing consistently everywhere; and foreign-owned Philippine operations with lean local administration, where the head office mandates certification — commonly ISO 9001 or ISO 27001 — and the local site has capacity to operate a system but not to build one. If your team has genuine project hours and would benefit from building the capability, Design™ is the cheaper, richer route — the comparison table below is the honest chooser.

Not sure which standard you need yet?

Drive™ answers how your system gets implemented. If the what is still open — which standard your clients, tenders or regulators actually require — settle that first: our two-minute Standards Selector maps your industry and your buyers’ demands to the right standard. Then come back and choose your mode.

What’s included — everything in Design™, plus the execution

All Design™ development deliverables: gap assessment and report, roadmap, full documentation set written in your operations’ language, role-based training with records, internal audit by practising Lead Auditors, management-review facilitation, certification-body selection and Stage 1/Stage 2 support.

Implementation executed by Sterling: we roll processes out with your staff on the floor, not by memo — walking each process owner through their part until it runs.

Records established and populated as work happens: registers, logs, monitoring records and evidence built into daily routine from week one, so audit evidence accumulates naturally instead of being reconstructed later.

Corrective actions driven to closure: issues found during rollout are root-caused, actioned and verified by us — the discipline your auditor most wants to see already breathing.

A weekly cadence with your coordinator: thirty to sixty minutes that keeps your organisation informed, decisions flowing and ownership real.

A formal handover programme: documentation of how the system runs, who does what, and where everything lives — so post-certificate you choose freely between taking it in-house, continuing under Drive, or stepping down to Sustain™.

Everything in Effivity, included as standard on the same terms as every Sterling engagement.

Your first 30 days

Week 1 — kickoff, coordinator named, gap assessment conducted while we embed with your process owners. Week 2 — gap report and roadmap signed; documentation development starts; baseline records structure built in Effivity. Weeks 3–4 — first processes rolled out live with your staff, first records flowing, first training delivered, weekly cadence running. By day 30 the system isn’t being planned — parts of it are already operating, with evidence to prove it.

Entry criteria: management sponsorship, a named coordinator (whose hours are measured in review meetings, not project work), and staff availability for training and interviews. Exit criteria: accredited certificate issued; system live in Effivity; documented handover delivered — with your choice of in-house operation or continued support.

Design™ or Drive™ — the one-question test: who does the implementing?

Design™ (guided) Drive™ (outsourced)
Who develops the system Sterling Sterling
Who implements it Your team, under our guidance Sterling, with your team
Your team’s time Project hours weekly Review meetings, training, audit interviews
Best when Bandwidth exists; capability-building matters No bandwidth; hard deadline; vacant compliance role
What you keep afterwards In-house muscle Documented handover, optional ongoing support
Cost Base band Above base — the effort moves to us
Ownership & audit answerability Yours — always Yours — always

What it costs: above Design™ for the same scope — the implementation effort moves to us. Fixed-scope, as always: the number you sign is the number you pay, with certification body /assessment fees stated separately.

Frequently asked questions

If Sterling implements everything, what does my team still have to do? The parts that cannot be outsourced: management decisions, resource approvals, participating in training, being interviewed by the certification body, and operating your processes day to day. Drive removes the project workload — documentation, rollout, records, audit preparation — not your organisation’s ownership. Any provider promising zero involvement is describing a certificate that means nothing.

Is a fully implemented-for-us system still audit-legitimate? Yes — provided your people operate it and can answer for it, which Drive is structured to ensure through training, the weekly cadence and a formal handover. What would be illegitimate is fabricated records or a system your staff have never seen; we build neither, and our selection guidance tells you to walk away from anyone who does.

After certification, who runs the system? Your choice, decided before the certificate arrives: take it in-house with our handover programme, continue under Drive as ongoing managed implementation, or step down to Sustain™ for annual-rhythm support. Everything lives in your Effivity instance under your ownership either way — managed implementation without lock-in.

Is Drive™ like having an outsourced quality or compliance manager? Functionally close — Sterling performs the work a dedicated quality manager would drive, at a defined scope and cadence, without the recruitment, salary and single-person risk. The difference: a bench of specialists instead of one hire, and a documented system that survives any individual — including us.

How much of our staff’s time does Drive™ actually need? Honestly quantified in the proposal, and modest: your coordinator’s weekly review (30–60 minutes), staff attendance at role-based training sessions, process owners’ participation as their processes go live, and interview availability during the certification audit. What Drive eliminates is the hundreds of project hours — not the handful of ownership hours no legitimate certification can waive.
