ISO 9001:2026 awareness training online for every employee
ISO 9001:2026, the sixth edition of the standard, was published on 16 September 2026, and every certified organisation in the Philippines will transition to it over the next three years. Awareness training is the transition task that touches the most people and is left until last. The ISO 9001:2026 Awareness course on Sterling Academy is written on the 2026 edition from the start, so the operators, supervisors and office staff who take it learn the requirements their auditor will use, not the 2015 wording most e-learning still teaches.
The course connects the quality management system to the work people do every day: why the procedure exists, what a customer requirement means at their workstation, what to do when something goes wrong, and why the record matters. It is built from the awareness sessions Sterling’s lead auditors deliver in person to manufacturers, contractors, government agencies and service companies across the Philippines.

Inside the course
Twelve modules with practice checkpoints and a final assessment, following the structure of ISO 9001:2026: the purpose of a quality management system; context, interested parties and scope; leadership, policy and quality culture; risks, opportunities and planning of changes; resources, competence and awareness; documented information in the 2026 wording; operational planning and control; customer requirements and communication; monitoring, measurement and customer satisfaction; internal audit and management review; nonconformity and corrective action; and continual improvement and the employee’s part in it.
What learners can do afterwards
- Explain the purpose of a quality management system in their own words.
- Connect their own responsibilities to consistent ways of working and to customer requirements.
- Recognise the role of records, audits and improvement, and what changed in the 2026 edition.
- Answer a certification auditor’s awareness questions with confidence.
Where the course fits
ISO 9001:2026 clause 7.2 requires evidence of competence to be retained as documented information; clause 7.3 requires awareness of the policy, of each person’s contribution and of the implications of not conforming. The course delivers both for the whole workforce and produces the per-person record. Process owners add Documented Information Management and Nonconformity Management; risk owners add Risk Management; internal auditors are trained live by a Sterling lead auditor. In a Sterling Revise™ transition engagement the awareness course is assigned to everyone as the system is updated, so the evidence is in place before the transition audit.

How Sterling Academy fits the Sterling system
Sterling delivers ISO and GRC certification through Sterling OS™ — our delivery operating system: Design™ (guided) or Drive™ (fully managed), then Sustain™, Automate™ and Revise™. Sterling Academy is the training layer of that system: awareness for everyone during implementation, practitioner courses for the people who run the system, and refreshers and new-hire training under Sustain™. Frequently asked questions
1. Is the course on the 2026 edition or the 2015 edition?
The 2026 edition, throughout. Terminology, clause references and examples follow ISO 9001:2026 as published on 16 September 2026.
2. Does it make an employee ISO 9001 certified?
No. It records course completion with a numbered Certificate of Completion, verifiable online. Certification applies to the organisation and is issued by a certification body.
3. How long does it take?
Twelve short modules plus checkpoints and a final assessment, typically completed in two or three sittings; access runs for 12 months.
4. Can we use it for new hires after certification?
