ISO 37120 certifies city data, not organisations
ISO 37120:2018 is an indicator standard — 104 indicators across 19 themes for city services and quality of life. It is not a management system standard, there is no accredited certification to it, and nothing appears on IAF CertSearch. The World Council on City Data does run an ISO 37120 certification programme, but read carefully what it certifies: a city’s data, independently verified, at Aspirational, Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum level according to how many indicators are reported — not how well the city performs on them.
