ISO 24510 Certification in Philippines
ISO 24510 sets out guidelines for assessing and improving drinking-water and wastewater services to users. Sterling International Consulting helps Philippine water districts, utilities and concessionaires apply it — service assessment, improvement planning, documentation and training — integrated with ISO 9001 where you hold it. Named local consultants in Metro Manila, Cebu and Davao support your project end to end.
ISO 24510 is one of the most well-known standards in the world when it comes to drinking and wastewater services. ISO 24510 certification is the only internationally-recognized certification for drinking water and wastewater services companies. Unlike other similar certifications, ISO 24510 is a global standard that has been developed over 20 years by the international standards organization. Whether you’re a company in charge of providing this important service or are thinking about starting a new business, contact us at info@iso-certification.ph or a phone call at +63 9778151204 to become certified and grow your business with sustainable drinking water services.
What is ISO 24510?
ISO 24510 is an international standard that defines requirements for drinking water and wastewater services. It specifies minimum requirements for the planning, design, construction, commissioning, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of such services.
How to get ISO 24510 certification
There are 5 steps to achieving ISO 24510 certification.
- The first step is to create a management system manual for your organization. This includes a working procedure and an organizational chart.
- Step two is to develop performance testing protocol. It is important to know how you will test the products before you start manufacturing them.
- Step three is to perform regular audits and inspections of your systems in order to identify any weak points that may be leading to product contamination or other issues.
- Step four is to document all regulatory requirements in order to have a clear understanding of what you need to do in order to meet these standards.
- The final step is training employees on the new system so that they understand what their role will be in the new management system.

ISO 24510 cannot be certified
ISO 24510:2024 — “Activities relating to drinking water and wastewater services — Guidelines for the assessment and for the improvement of the service to users” — is guidance, revised in January 2024 from the 2007 edition. It sets no requirements, so no accredited certification exists and nothing appears on IAF CertSearch. The same is true of its companions ISO 24511 and ISO 24512, both also revised in 2024. A water utility that wants certification holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or ISO 46001. How to check any certificate a supplier shows you →
